Seahaven House - Ventnor

The Seahaven House, located on the coast of Philip Island is defined externally by differing materials: from black color bond architectural cladding, grey stack bond brickwork, and charred timber. Each section of the house defined by the subtle difference in shade and material.

Upon entering this modern coastal home, the person is greeted by a warm timbered interior. The elegant stairway and long wooden hallway expertly invites the person further in and cleverly juxtaposes the cold materials of the external facade.

This home mixes hard and soft, cold and warmth through the use of timber, metal cladding, and dark brickwork. This house almost seems to move with the differing textures.
